About Us:

Expositional Preaching.

The Word of God alone is enough to save, convict, teach, reprove, and encourage unto holiness. To this end, we practice expositional preaching, the verse-by-verse study of Scripture, in detail, in order to fully understand the whole counsel of God. This practice means reading and studying a book of Scripture thoroughly and within it’s context. It means simply to read the text of the Bible, explain it, and do it again next week.

Reformed Theology.

In the 16th century throughout Europe, ideas began to circulate that every man has the duty and privilege of studying God’s Word, and is commanded to interpret and abide by it. The inspired Word of God is not meant for any one priest or pope, but rather, every man to read, understand, and apply. To further that end, many doctrines emerged from great men of the faith, such as the five Solas, God’s predestined Will, and need for conviction and repentance in the Gospel.

These ideas are the foundation upon which we seek to build our church.

Gospel Centrality.

The entirety of Scripture, biblical history, and God’s plan for humanity and the world revolves around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While we believe it critical to delve deep into the text of Scripture to understand all of God’s revealed truth, we can never forget, or stop being reminded, of our utter need for a Savior. As John Newton clearly put it; “I am a great sinner; Christ is a great Savior.” Without constant memory of our desperate lack of righteousness, our need for the blood of Jesus, and the hope which He promises, everything we do counts for nothing.
