Lincoln Community Bible Church

In this passage, Jesus rebukes the disciples and those who would appeal to their personal pride, station, prestige, and respect in the church. There is no place for a disciple who puts himself above others, or who seeks personal status or pride at the cost of others. Jesus illustrates the greatest example of humiliation, sacrifice, and lowliness to us, as an example to follow.
