In this message, we see Jesus' instruction on the importance and sincerity of prayer. He makes it clear that prayer is indeed answered by God for believers in Christ. The Father desires to hear, and grant, the requests of His people. While this hardly means all requests are granted, He is eager for His children to ask from Him.
